Frequently Asked Questions

I couldn’t find prices on the website. How much do AnatomicModels cost?

Because we work with products on demand, we choose to calculate the price of each order individually.

Our prices are calculated using the AnatomicModels weight (amount of resin needed) and height (the taller the model, the more time it takes for it to be printed).

Which material is used to print AnatomicModels?

We print AnatomicModels using polymer resin.

We work with rigid and flexible materials, and the AnatomicModels may have more than one hardness.

Do you print human tissues?

Not yet.

We print only AnatomicModels for surgical planning and medical education.

Are the AnatomicModels implantable?

No, our AnatomicModels are not biocompatible and should not be implanted onto patients.

We develop AnatomicModels to be used for surgical planning and medical education.

I would like to have an AnatomicModel in slices. Is that possible?

Yes, using medical images ou standard models it is possible to print AnatomicModels in slices or with openings for a better view of the internal structures.

I would like to print the complete human body. Is it possible?

We work with equipments that have limited printing height and widths, but sometimes it is possible to print some parts of the model separately and join them into one AnatomicModel.

Contact us to check if it is possible!

Do you work exclusively with 3D printing?

We develop products in many technologies at BioArchitects.

We work with 3D printing, augmented reality, app development and other technologies.

I want to develop a new project. Can you help me?

Sure. We work with on demand projects and customized products, and we love to get new challenges.

I saw an AnatomicModel that I like, can I have it in a different color/size?

Yes, we work with custom made models in several sizes, colors and textures.

I would like to order AnatomicModels for teaching. Do you have standart models?

Yes, we develop AnatomicModels with or without pathologies, in many colors, sizes and textures.

Contact us to know all the standard models we have!

Are AnatomicModels perfect replicas of the body?

Because they are developed using medical images, our AnatomicModels have sub-millimeter accuracy, and their textures represent in a very realistic way the real organ or anatomy, being even operable and suturable.

When needed, it is possible to design AnatomicModels in specific hardnesses and textures, and it is also possible to define the size and colors wanted for each one.

I want an AnatomicModel in a specific size scale. Is it possible?

Yes, we develop AnatomicModels in many sizes and also colors and textures.

Are all the AnatomicModels operable?

We develop operable AnatomicModels, in many textures, colors and hardnesses that mimic in a realistic way the structures found during surgery.

Upon request we can also design rigid AnatomicModels.

Can you print any part of the human body?

We reproduce the structures visible in exams such as computerized tomographies (CT) and magnetic resonances (MRI).

How long does it take for an AnatomicModel to be delivered?

It takes approximately 6 days after we receive the medical images for an AnatomicModel to be ready to be delivered.

Which exams can be used to generate printable images?

We work with computerized tomographies (CT), magnetic resonances (MRI) and ultrassounds.

It is important that the images are obtained according to our protocol, to ensure good quality images and feasibility with our softwares.

Is it necessary to be a physician to order an AnatomicModel?

No, patients may order AnatomicModels.

It is always important for the physician to contact us to ensure that the exams will follow our image acquisition protocol.

I am a patient and I am interested in BioArchitect’s solutions. What should I do?

You may contact us to order an AnatomicModel.

To ensure that we can make the best product for you, it is important that the medical images of the exams are obtained following our image acquisition protocol.
