Founded in 2013, with operations in the U.S. and Brazil, BioArchitects specializes in developing patient specific medical devices and services.

Through research, cutting-edge technology and the most up-to-date equipment, the company seeks innovative, customized solutions for the healthcare industry, including patient specific implants, anatomical models, ultra-realistic surgical training simulators , biomaterials and medical equipment design.

Our resources are directed to sustainable solutions, designed to meet individual patient needs, while providing greater surgical precision to maximize results and thereby optimize surgical outcomes.

Medical Team

Our team represents a variety of specialties and capabilities. Collectively we embody decades of experience in biomedical engineering, manufacturing, health care management, computer science and business administration.

It is our multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving that is one of our key strengths and distinguishes us in the realm of personalized medicine.

All our projects are headed by scientific specialists, in partnership with major universities, representing a variety of medical disciplines.

Research & Development

R&D at BioArchitects is focused on advancing medicine with the aid of technology, delivering products and solutions that assist health care professionals in the assessment of clinical cases, surgical planning, and educating newly trained professionals. Our team is responsible for developing projects such as:

  • replicas of patient specific organs printed in materials that simulate actual tissue, such as bone and blood vessels
  • hyper-realistic simulator training anatomical models, for the placement of prosthetics
  • protocols to assist surgeons in the precise location of inaccessible surgical incision sites, considerably reducing the use of intra operative x-ray
  • simulators for planned placement of brain aneurysm clips
  • cardiac surgical planning such as TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and transapical stenting.
